Nectar is the estate’s prestigious cuvée — among the most elegant and refined of the Coteaux du Layon Villages appellation. A wine of excellence, produced only in exceptional vintages when a very small quantity of grapes, carefully hand-selected through successive pickings, reach an extraordinary level of complexity and concentration. Nectar has an impressive ageing potential of around thirty years.

A beautiful deep golden colour with amber highlights. The nose is precise and highly refined. This vintage reveals aromas of candied and exotic yellow fruits, fresh pineapple, candied apricot, and quince. The palate is sumptuous, perfectly balancing sweetness and acidity on a palette of confit fruits. With its persistent finish, this vintage is built to stand the test of time.

This vintage enjoyed exceptional weather conditions right up to the final day of harvest: sun-drenched berries, perfectly ripe and rich in sugar, with a providential botrytisation brought by warm days and morning mists. After a very gentle pressing and a slow fermentation lasting 3 to 4 months, the cuvée was refined for 12 months in tanks to preserve the terroir’s minerality and the grapes’ natural authenticity.
